Place at least 4-6 inches or more if you afford it; good practice is
to mix 20-30% peet with your topsoil it helps retain water.

Bermuda grass needs soil temps ....
You may want to try the grass mats like the county boys use.
The grass is about 3" high right plant bermuda in the spring.
