I just read a little article about Muhammed Ali, this being his 70th birthday. In it, there's a Quote: from Ali where he mentions some of the great people of his era, including himself, of course. Among these were JFK, Elvis, The Beatles....

As guitarists we probaly think back the finest examples of their kind of greatness.
Perhaps different eras yield different kinds of great people.
