Flat Grind with hollow Grind on Edge? I have a piece of SanMai from Mike Turner, it is a beautiful piece but I didn't realize the 1095 Core was thin and made to be hollow ground so that the core is more "Exposed". I have already flat ground the blade...

To be clear, what I mean is it sounds like you're planning to do a funky grind for purely aesthetic....
I have example Sounds like a funky grind to me.
But I think it will push the core up higher on the grind (Does that make sense?).
I'm getting ready to do a Head Gasket replacement on my '75 Corvette, and I'm trying to figure out whether or not I should have the heads done. It has 155k on it, was last rebuilt at around 100k. I really do not want to do a rebuild on the bottom end ...

If you just do the top end (valve grind, valve-seat refacing, etc.) w/o touching the bottom end.
When I start my HP Pavillion a430n in the morning it takes 20 minutes before I can really use it. All it does is grind. The memory is only half used and I basically use it for the internet and store pictures. I run Spybot every day. The only clue I can...

If you use light roast with fine grind, or dark roast with coarse grind? is it still espresso?

A light roast....
A dark roast in a coarse grind would make weak espresso and be fine in a drip maker.
Well yeah, whether it would roasts and is normally ground very fine .
It's espresso if you use espresso beans the grind makes no difference.
My usb portable hard drive fell off the table, landed on the floor and started to make a horrible grinding noise. I assume the platters fell off the spindle? (I think i'm making these terms up) If i open it up (seagate barracuda) would i be able to salvage...

The only thing you might be able to salvage is the external chassis... .
Your best bet is to backup your data as quickly as possible .
No! If you open a hdd you'll lose all data unless you send it to some fancy data recovery lab and that costs oodles of money .
My windows (XP) hard drive grinds a lot and it negatively affects the performance of other applications. I have plenty of RAM and have already verified that this hard drive activity is not page file swap activity. I have also already looked in task manager...

Process Explorer.
I use Process Explorer often.
Generally, all the tools from Sysinternals are great.
It shows you both which programs are to blame and which files are involved .
Try DiskMon to see what drive activity is going on .
I grind horseradish every March. They say grind it any month with an R. Like turnips plant in July wet or dry, dig in October drunk or sober. I grind around 15-20 1/2 pints each year. Anyone else grind horseradish?

I dont grind it but I love in a drier makes a mess when i was....
So I rotate.
I dig every year but have two patches.
I put don't dig for a year.
Grind outside stand upwind,or you will pay.
A cheap food processor will not last long.

Question on scandi grinds? What makes scandi grind knives so popular? I see lots of them on here but have never used one. I like the looks of them but was wondering what made them more desirable than other grinds(flat,convex,)?

A full flat grind or a full thin convex grind.
Whats the best way to grind TP fast? It seems very slow, I dont understand how people with f2p accounts manage to grind tp for all the expansions
