I was going to clean my rail gun today and did a quick check of the safeties. I noticed the hammer would drop if I pulled the trigger without depressing the grip safety. Is this right?

The former issue can only be remedied....
The grip safety works by way of a tab that blocks the trigger is overfitted or broken, or else the grip safety isn't sitting in its full rear position.
To finding this out?
Please update.

Is it possible to disable the grip safety on the xd? I am talking about it being an actual feature of the weapon not a rubber band or a grip sleeve that holds it down. Please don't freak out I'm not bashing it. This is a question to fill my own curiosity...

I just bought a Kimber Compact and am having trouble with the factory GS. I use such a high grip, Im not always disengaging the safety. Pinning it isnt an option as this will be my carry.
Question: Is there a "drop in" hump/pad safety that won't require...

I noticed my grip safety doesn't have to be pressed in order for the pistol to fire. I've read several possible reasons, but my main question is how hard is it to fix? Basically, is it something I can do myself with no gunsmithing experience?

I shipped a 1911 to ROBAR a couple of weeks ago. This for complete NP3 Plus.

Is the bottom of the grip safety sticking to the MSH, then popping loose? The only way to know tie ON and started messing with the grip safety, of course it will make noises.

I am about to order a frame for my first home build. I am wanting to build a CCO style gun, but can't decide on a grip safety.
