Dear All,
I have SAP GUI for java on ubuntu 10.4, and I can't print from sap. Although, I can print from windows desktop? Any suggestions, recommendations to print properly from UBUNTU desktop?

F & G are dependent on pieces of SAP GUI software that only exist on the Windows version.

Are there any good arguments for using Java Web Dynpro over ABAP Web Dynpro? I've heard that the Java version is more mature by about 18 months because Dynpro was made for Java, and then ABAP devs wanted it once they saw it working.
I know ABAP is propriatary...

It seems to me that new thing were developed in Java by Sap, because it was the "future".
First of all, I don't know of any good argument to use Java over ABAP in sap land.

Our company is rolling out SAP system. I know they now do Web Services so we could simultaneously roll out the .NET thing for anything we know we can do in C#.

The gui will be terrible, but people are amazingly.
SAP has tools to handle the presentation if you don't like the GUI and such) you will have to go with what sap offers.
Not to be worth the trouble to fight it.

Thanks for the info.
You may need to install Xcelsius after you install SAP GUI ans BEx.
The same issue and it was resolved by installing latest SAP GUI and Business Explorer.
