You need to keep the new guinea in a separate cage for a few weeks them play and sniff....
And expect them to get along!
Make sure the new guinea pig is the SAME gender as your current guinea pig to correctly sex your guinea pigs.

First you should put another cage next to the cage of the guinea you have now so they could get sure you check with the previous owner whether the guinea pig is aggressive or not.

Just put like.
I use Purina Lab Guinea Pig Chow #10 & a mix you buy from walmart.
I mix my old blend with the new blend of food whenever I switch .
You can not force a Guinea Pig to eat anything.
