Hello everyone. I'm looking into getting the newest Guitar Hero game with the drum set and guitar. I was wondering if GH:WoR is the newest game of the series.

I enjoy the games,they were pretty good,but Guitar Hero was milked far too much and at the end of the day have resorted to playing real instruments....
Rock Band and Guitar Hero was big 3-4 years ago,now they've faded into obscurity.

The "instruments" that are used with Guitar Hero and Rock Band have USB connections. Is there any documentation or reverse-engineering info out there about how to read the messages they generate?

This means they should plug as I remember documentation....
Check out Wiiuse - it suppors the Guitar Hero 3 controller, as well as Wiimotes :)
From my Google searches, the Guitar Hero and Rock Band controllers are USB HID devices.

I just bought GHWOR a few weeks ago. I have no friends that play it. I play guitar/bass on easy and working on medium. I sing on hard, but I only know so many songs as of yet. Looking to get RB3 and a drumkit soon, so I can play both games and all instruments...

Which one are you using? Originally the games.
Seeing as how, it does You're better off getting one for Guitar Hero though.
Hero guitars work on Rock Band, but only some of Rock Band's work on Guitar Hero.

Today iheard on the radio that the makes of guitar hero are thinking of not making anymore guitar hero games since the music game industries arent doing too well what are you thoughts on this?

I mean, why would you still need Guitar Hero anyways with just a guitar....
I think they might just give up on the Guitar Hero series because they have Rock Band 3 with Pro Mode that revolutionized the music game industry.

As title, looking for guitar hero and rockband games & hardware, and Singstar games.
