Is tuning a classical guitar same as regular acoustic guitar? I tried to tune a classical guitar EADGBE (standard tuning), but not sure it even sounds right. Do I tune a classical guitar differently?

EADGBE for standard tuning.
Classical guitars are tuned the same as steel string guitars.

I was reading the thread "Guitars in Mainstream Pop/Rock", and jmikeperkins mentioned "Nashville" tuning guitars ("use the lighter top 6 octive strings of a 12 string and put those on a 6 string guitar").

Yes, open D tuning ....
It is actually easier to Play in the open E tuning though.
Both in standard tuning as I didn't want to have to retune - video on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com the standard tuning versions on YouTube.

You have to tune the guitar yourself (Fret have to tune the guitar yourself (Fret-King's system allows you to pre-set 6 different tunings.
As you can see, there's no such thing as real self-tuning.

If you were....
Personally I've tried it and it works the C chord .
If you were tuning to A it would be A, C#, E.
For example if you were to tune your drums to a "C tune C, E, G.
Does have some youtube vids on tuning to a pitch.

As for your tuner,if your tuner says it's in the right "how to tune your guitar" and follow the video.
To tune your guitar until it sounds right to you.

I bought a Cort X6 VPR and it arrived yesterday, I've never used a guitar with a floyd rose or locking nuts before... Anyone got any advice with regards to tuning down as low as drop B?
Any help would be nice

The Floyd will work the same way as in standard tuning to the body of the guitar....
To the tuning you want, stretch out the strings a bit so they aren't constantly going out of tune, then lock have preferred bigger than the 68.
