I did a google search but I see many offers to buy REDHAT
To my ubderstanding, it is a free
has stuff like 'yum' that makes system updates a breeze. Hope this helps.I will gove this a shot
like it unpacked the ISO file and burned it to disk.

afaik this is only possible with samba... if its configuration your worried about, don't be, redhat

Hdparm doesnt work in redhat so is there some equivilent utiltiy or does it use a different syntax
.
Gentoo also uses the older 2.95.x gcc compiler that has much better optimizations for high end Pentium
and Athlon processors than the newer 2.96.x and 3.x compilers.well i am a fickle b*tch cuz redhat
