I was diagnosed with IBS around 2004. I started running this fall. Wondering if there were any other runners out there with IBS who would be willing to allow me to bounce some IBS/running questions off of. Thanks.

I don't have IBS but I've been having a lot of GI issues when I run...I find that taking GUs makes stomach issues? I was....
They still think I have IBS on top of all that so experimenting with meds now.
Of a plain salad.

I thought I had IBS.
I no longer have the bloating.
Have you tried Metamucil or Benefiber.

I have had IBS for about 7 years. And sorry to sad this last year my stomach has gotten more touchy. I haven't eaten any diary (except an occasional piece of cheese) in 4 months. I tried all the milks like soy, almond, ect. I don't like them. Any ideas...

Also if you are suffering from IBS...have you tried cutting out that back....
I've since met a couple of people that have IBS that have seen improvements cutting one to my cup of coffee and etc.
Intolerance for me.

I have been training for the upcoming Maroondah 50km.
On my long weekend training runs I have been drinking Gatorade half strenght and taking Gu's.
I have found the Gu's have really been playing havock with my IBS causing terrible...

I know that for most people the brand/flavour of gel is a personal choice approach to long distances and that I need to have choices available - eg, small pieces of sweet I am not helping specifically with the IB....

Register on the forums for fewer ads So when I was younger I was diagnosed with IBS. Last 5 months I have been terribly sick and I've ended up with a few infections, worst I've even been now I'm currently seeing a specialists...
