It allows you to simply scan the files you want instead of having resident scanning of regularly updated Virus....
And no this is a real full version, no pop-ups or limitations that I have really found, just make sure to turn off as well.

Have you checked on other machines with IE6? Same version / different.
2 machines with the same IE6 version could have different jscript dll versions.
Not seem to correlate with the version of IE6; i.e .
