Hello, I just installed Debian Stable and it seems my audio is not working.
When I open alsamixer it only shows an spdif channel.
The audio worked fine in Ubuntu and Linux Mint, so perhaps it is a Debian kernel/driver issue?

I have Asus RtN16. I have king mod with a usb connected external hard drive.
When I boot up or reboot the system, the /opt drive is empty. I check dmesg and it doesn't look like a drive was detected. This used to work, but I'm not sure how well it used...

Sorry that I made duplicated thread. I think it is the right board for my problem.
My OS is Ubuntu 8.10 and my hardware is Celeron Dual-core T1600 and SiS 671MX chipset.
The boot loading bar freezed and I found out adding nolapic on the kernel ...

Yeah, it worked for me as well, and I have a Pentium 4 3 Ghz so couple down on your's but still dual core .
That solved it for me! Thanks a lot!
