Ok, it's already in the pipeline that BBC HD will be renamed BBC Two HD, but what programmes will it show?
Although I assume it will be sporting BBC Two logos with the HD sub moniker (for want of a better expression), will it be opting out from the regular...

I think it likely that many HD shot programmes that would of been shown first on BBC Three or Four will instead debut....
BBC Four programming will probably then appear on BBC Two during the daytime .
As BBC one HD is a simulcast of BBC one.

I know there has been a lot of discussion about Emmerdale being filmed in hd but tonight was the first time I've actually seen it in hd....

The only HD channels you will get for free are BBC One HD, BBC HD, ITV HD, Channel....
Yes you need the HD pack to view any of the HD versions of the channels that are part of the packages you already subscribe to.

I quick look at the line up and those of the programmes they will show... .
At the dates of the programmes they will show, not more than a tiny fraction will have been made in HD, so an HD version of the channel is rather a waste of bandwidth.

What percentage of the programming you watch on your HD TV is actually in HD? For me it would be about 60-70%. I still find myself watching std def. channels that are also available in HD but I've never really learned the HD channel numbers. Most programs...

My cable company provides most all major cable stations in HD.
I no longer have HD eyes, so it seems fairly pointless.
100 I don't have HD television and don't intend to get it any time soon.
