From what i hear...the tool of choice in the hdpe yard is a chainsaw
back when i was entertaining the idea of making my own i called two different HDPE wholesalers and they both mentioned it in my area.

I'm curious if anyone has attempted heat molding hdpe at home?
I want to build a mold of a fuel tank then basically suspended the sheet of plastic over it and heat it with a propane IR heater till it softens then lower it down still heating it so forms...

They use huge molds for the tanks, I think they use electric heat, HDPE beads know how well welding ....
Do you have a good welding hot air gun a 1/2 mile from me .
Good luck! HDPE welding takes practice.

Store RO/DI in the blue Wal-Mart food-grade HDPE 7 gallon water storage containers for 2 days, we show 21 TDS (never checked anything else).

I was wondering if anyone has tried blending Pearl Ex colours to come up with a new colour? I always assumed it would not work, as the mica particles are just held in suspension and do not dissolve, but I am now wondering if they are fine enough...

UHMW is the poor man's Teflon, and HDPE is the poor man's UHMW, they actually had a couple of the old ....
Cooking spray helps release.

Being 1800 long it would bow a bit and to fix we could strengthen the front by using 30mm HDPE.
They are a good idea, just too pricey price.
