Definitely external USB enclosure for the....
At the current prices, you can get SATA disks cheaper than ATA ones.
Being that the motherboard offers a SATA controller, you will gain a performance boost if you buy a SATA disk for it.

There are Sata 2 and Sata 3 ports on the mobo....
There is no Sata 200 or Sata 300.
The advantage you get when you buy a Sata III SSDI fail to understand your point.
No reason to stand on your head for a Sata3 port.

Bonus of reducing head movements by spreading tasks between spindles, so you will probably get with the performance drop due to all the head movements if source and destination files are on the same drive.

Is there a USB Enclosure for internal SATA 3.5 hdd that can be used to copy data or is there any other way to do that?

I had a SATA port go out yesterday. I was sure it was one of those new 1tb drives on the RAID system. I had one port to spare so, if it does it again, I have to start removing things or think about getting another board.

Maybe even worse than I suspected, and it may show it's head again it at their download site.
Some of the cheap SATA cables don't seem to have connectors which connect and all, there is a serious problem.
Replacing the cable fixed it.

Title pretty much says it all, looking for a few cheap sata laptop harddrives. Alternatively, I could trade my 300gb velociraptor for a few of them.

OK, never thought one would have to research about plugging in a HDD to a sata port but I've learnt my lesson
So, basically, the intel sata3 6G port on the mobo damaged my samsung F3 HDD. Plugged it in, turned it on, pc started to make loud clicking sounds...

After browsing boards and google on how to use Ghost 2003 with SATA drives I realized you have to have the .793 build. If you have the .775 or .778 etc builds you HAVE to upgrade in order to be able to use SATA drives with the -FNI switch.
