I've been reading threads here and there on this forum since yesterday, and it seems clear there are different types of hearing loss. In my case, is it right to speak of hearing "loss"? I didn't actually lose my hearing, I just never had it.

Normal hearing is hearing that ranges from -10 to 20 db, mild....
You basically have mild to moderate hearing loss, however, your hearing is in the normal range for your left and right ear at 125 hz and 4,000 hz in your left ear.

Can a person with a single side ci wear a hearing on the non ci ear? Or does this cause problems?

I fitted a lot of Hi with CI, key here is to balance both .
I will say and doesn't hear the a car.
I use a CI and a hearing aid both and am very happy with the perfomance.

I've only had the initial fitting and these aids are pretty good but I've noticed that on all but the restaurant setting I hear what sounds like wind blowing through a pvc pipe... it's not loud... in fact i can usually ignore it on the normal setting ...
