We had an ultrasound last night and saw the baby :) and the OB said that the babys heartbeat is measuring at 165 beats per min but he said he doesnt let patients hear the hb until after 12 weeks? So when were you allowed to hear the HB? I am so relieved...

Just got back from my first ultrasound and they found a heartbeat. It was 103 bpm, but the RE said that was as good as it gets at 6 weeks. Yay! I go back in 2 weeks and then I graduate to my OB.

With it is it doesn't tell you the heart rate but to me that is just one more thing I'd worry about if it wasnt how it should be!! I can hear the heartbeat beating away and that's reassurance enough for me although I do tend to use mine....

Female also got the same problem! ectopic after ectopic beat! fast heart rate, although been told-gemini's aswell as have experience a fast heart rate and then a slow heart rate and i have episodes of 1st.

FWIW, my OB says a hb anywhere.
DD#2 had a heart rate in the 160s at our last two appointments, and she's a girl too.
Fun answer, DD#1 had a heart rate in the 170-180s at 12-13 weeks and she was a girl.
