My dog is getting his teeth cleaned on Saturday and will be getting a heartworm test. Here in AZ, the chances of him getting heartworm is slim to nil, but I wanted to be preventative. Anyways, Heart guard is now a generic and is available at many pharmacies...

Hi, I have 2 small pups (under 3 lbs each). Is it ok to give them 1/2 heartworm meds each since the weight states for dogs 2-10 lbs. This would be for interceptor. Their full weight is expected to be < 6 lbs. thanks
