Heating grips, heating gloves, and heating socks?
Would like some input from riders who ride in cold weather up north in Canada/Alaska..
Planning to ride up to Alaska (Deadhorse) and down to S. America thru Andes and to Ushuaia.. I am a big guy and sweat...

Hey All,
I have read a good few post on here and here is my problem...
The rad in my bedroom was not heading up. (I actually think this happened not long after I got my boiler serviced but could be wrong).
SO I went and blead the rad, this was fine there...

Hi Guys,
Can anyone recomend a new gas boiler and what type. I herd the combi-boilers are good and a make called Worchester Bosch. Has anyone got one of those fitted?
My house at the moment has a 1973 Potterton Boiler so old. It works ok but I am dreading...

Heating on or off?
turned off the rayburn yesterday at breakfast time as kitchen was far too hot, now i just had to put on central heating for first time in months

Our heating has hardly been off any length of time since 2010, sometimes get the odd warm day or two, otherwise damp and COLD.

I am diagnosing a heat pump. The customer said it worked great during the cooling season, but when she turned the thermostat to heating, the thermostat started smoking. I took off the cover to the thermostat, jumpered the red with yellow, ac worked great...

When the stat calls for heat the furnace comes on.
The W valve to switch to heating.
A heat pump thermostat energizes Y on any initial call for cooling or heat.
For heating mode.

There have been several fixes to it recently, make sure you have the latest version of TortoiseSVN .
It's what produces the overlaid icons in Explorer that tell you whether files/directories are modified, conflicted etc or not .

Heating is off room thermostat is on 0 but when hot water is on the radiators heat up.
I need to change the check valve.

Does anyone have experience of electric under floor heating?
I am going to have the kitchen and dining room knocked into one and a new kitchen fitted. This will result in only a small wall to put a rad on so was thinking of under floor heating.

The downside is that with pure electric, it can also be fairly costly... .
Underfloor heating can do a very nice job of keeping a room warm as it provides heat constantly from below and as heat rises, the whole room gets heated.
