I suppose as the heat never drops large heat output is not needed to bring with minimal loss of heat from external walls.

Having retired we plan to use our second home for more then weekends. Presently we have a slant-fin type system heated with propane in a Burnham furnace. Checking heating expenses more carefully. I find my propane bills here on Long Island are outrageous...

This is good for domestic hot water and heating for most of the year.

Solar is also used as a pre-hot tank option using solar warm water to feed a water boiler I could've got away with no engine running for weeks at a time but for needing hot water.

Might seem like a silly question, but if a home is really well insulated, does it mean you can have smaller radiators and would thee be any benefit to this?
