Did they do any other testing? Herpes won't cause discharge like that.
For herpes 1 and 2 that doesn't mean that your symptoms now are due to herpes.

If it does wind up being herpes, would it most likely be HSV 1 because of the oral contact or can you get HSV 2 from oral as well?

Your igm is negative. current cdc recommendations are that herpes igm testing not be performed on adults for the purpose of diagnosing herpes.
at this point, every time you have symptoms, you should be seen. if they suspect herpes, they can do a lesion...

Hsv1 stays hsv1 regardless of location. You won't contract hsv2 from someone who only has hsv1. make sense?
your hsv2 igg is still a low positive and needs confirmed with additional testing. Seek out a herpes WB blood test to confirm your status to see...

There's no such thing as just being exposed to herpes - you either have it o history of symptoms be confirmed with the herpes WB..
Totally different tests.
