My mk1 is my every day car if it fits into a special bracket then its possible there could be restrictions on use in the future .

Is there a historic reason that periods are used instead of any other separator for software versions?
One of our products was previously version 3.5, and now it's 3.08 -- I'm sure this was management saying that putting a leading zero would make it less...

People on continental europe still use a period for version seperation .
It's just a version seperator.
It's not a decimal point.

Once a month run a process to do your counts, and add a row to the summary table representing the data .
If you are just running this on a schedule, then I would create a data summary table.. .
