With with the hoist bolted to the trolley there is a fine line between balancing because the wheels ends going up to the side frames to stop it rocking.

Seen these Game hoists that can be mounted to the trailer hitch on my truck. Anyone know where i can find one... in or near calgary? Anybody have any experience with these things? Or any home made hoists out there? Pictures would be cool.

I have been doing a lot of work on quite a lot of cars recently and i think it is time to invest in a hoist to make working a bit easier and safer.(ramps and jacks are a real pain with low vehicles)

Also, the weights of the trolley and hoist need to be considered along with the dead weight ....
I think in that situation it would be plenty strong for a 5 ton hoist before any load can be calculated.
For the trolley you will probably use.

Using the latest gcc compiler, do I still have to think about these types of manual loop optimizations, or will the compiler take care of them for me well enough?
