My husband and I are looking at LQ trailers and have been told that many people buy them with a mortgage as a second home.
Why do they do this and what are the advantages and disadvantages to doing this? Or would it be smarter to get a short term loan...

That means it's not necessary to qualify for a mortgage and they are subject thinking it is referred to as a "second home....
Mortgage interest on a second home can be taken for loan purposes.
Sleeping, cooking and toilet facilities.
