Plus I think the upgrade wouldn't overwrite....
Can't find a source, but it would be really (yes really) stupid if they would make it incompatible with your files recorded with Vista, since that would make it a showstopper for people upgrading their Media Center .

I run VS 2008 in my Home Premium 64bit it is safe to assume....
It works.
They do state the express editions are supported on Home Premium x64 and that the non express editions to see if there is anything you might need.

I use the Ultimate edition, absolutely essential....
Other than that - the Ultimate edition is pretty much a union of the features in Business and Home Premium editions.
Support - both of those features are left out of Home Premium.
