Homelessness

Cities should be required to build some sort of public building where the homeless can clean up, use the washrooms, have a secure place for carts, access to service representatives from the community and have a place to sleep. Goodwill agencies and churches shouldn't be the only ones trying to provide for everyone. source

If he had his eye on the prize, he would have found numerous ways to expand Medicare, relentlessly chipping away by including more and more people as eligibility was expanded little by little. But the way the Dems have gone about it is to implant a cow embryo into a rabbit. And I agree, this doesn't look like it will end well. source

The one thing I always try and do, whether I'm giving money or not, is look the person in the eye and smile. Giving money or not giving money is a personal decision, but turning someone invisible by looking through them is to take some of their humanity. source

What I don't get about the homeless is why they stay in cold weather cities. If I become homeless I'm going to San Diego where it's always nice and warm. source
