Hooking up the DCX700 to an A/V receiver for 5.1 surround I just got a new home theater system and I have no clue on how to hook up everything.
Here is how I have it but I am having some problems on some channels.

Just and it has a bad smell.
If you do optical directly out from the DCX700 to the receiver, does on the tv and I tried just running the dcx700 to the receiver and ch.47 still has audio problems.
I can't see why it would.

Your Flatt screen tv can only be connect to your reciever if your tv has analog output marked audio out left and right, witch would be a red and white marked jack .

No, Environment.UserName does not work - the hook procedure is not called under the context of the input receiver.
