I know a few of us have a new/renewed interest in the sport, and many others have questions based on HBO's Luck that might not get answered in the YFBS thread there, so I thought it might be fun to start a catchall horse...

So I was talking to this person on twitter awhile back, and they were talking about how horse racing was animal abuse and all of the horses are being harmed and treated unfairly and blah blah.
