Is there any point horse riding when you can't have your own horse? I've not been horse riding since I was little, I was thinking of going back having lessons again for fun. Sadly, I won't ever get a horse of my own so is there any point of going really...

You could bring friend out to barn with you and introduce her to BO/let BO see her ride your horse.
The only one allowed to ride your horse, and of course friend will sign a release form.

Jump some low, widish oxers to encourage horse....
Just like helps -- add leg on takeoff and encourage the horse to jump forward and not just up.
Of that out of you just concentrate on riding the horse to, over and away from the jump.

Not unless the horse is tied to an elaborate rope & pulley system developed by an ancient dwarven pulley system, of which I don't know any, so you might be out of luck.
