This came up in a dinner conversation and my mind is drawing a blank on the explanation. (Too much food and too little blood to the brain ) Let's say, you're in a building or house near a window. Why can you hear sounds outside of the building be it closing...

Examples of inside noises that are often from outside is loud relative to a lower background noise.
IME noises outside tend to be louder than noises inside.

I suppose it's mainly SMB's that have an inside IT guy(s) but then also work with outside IT consultants for larger and more sophisticated projects.
My question is, how do you do it? Do you actually contract with IT consultants and pay a fixed monthly...

I just want to clarify the recent scenario where my HVAC system froze up on a tenant's apartment.
The tenant set the thermostat to go down to 68 F at night. I think this is strangely low, but if they like high electric bills, thats fine...

I'm thinking of replacing some 1970's double hung with replacement inserts. The house has triple track storms installed and wood siding. The windows have metal tracks with springs inside. Most instructions I've seen for replacements seem pretty straightforward...

Simple enought to just snap out the sashes so you can work from the inside will this be? Yes.
Most use a bead of caulking around the outside stop that seals the window from the inside.
Post a picture of the windows.
