I have a couple old iBook G3 800mhz 256mb ram cd drive. I am looking for suggestions of what would be the best OS to install. Best measured as having a modern web browser and fast (least slow). Chrome OS would be great but I don't think that's an option...

It's a pretty old little critter retail versions of Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4) are on DVD .
The iBook G3 was discontinued 6 years ago.
