Look around on the iPod Linux wiki I think there are a few installers, but if I were you I'd go with rockbox It's a lot easier to install I only installed iPod Linux so I could have the bootloader a liitle research on the ....

My daughters iPod Mini was detected straight away with Suse 9.2 and gtkPod under the Utilities => Sync menu and I believe that Suse 9.3 is even better with the iPod.

Arisian, There are several tools available in Linux that you can use to sync an iPod.
Just do a google search for "ipod sync linux" or something similar.
I use Linux heavily at home, but almost to linux, however....
