Going which is also the full content of the ipod,
i use a play list to control my data base on the pc so a playlist that contains 110 songs....
Selected play list and hit shuffle
all five played one time then ipod stoped like it should.

I am having the same issue! Second hand shuffle isn't recognized by computer or ITunes.
To the conclusion that it is either the cable or the iPod, but I'm not sure how to tell which.

I hate the itune software that continuously runs on the computer. Is it required to load music on the Shuffle? I'm looking for somebody that has a Shuffle that knows for sure. I prefer to drag and drop music from my folders or use the windows media player...
