Of the features you bought the phone for (ie iTunes syncing) stops
working, you're likely to blame the
Apple-sanctioned way of syncing with iTunes, using "iTunes Library.xml".

When I connect my iPhone 3GS to my MacBook Pro, iTunes "freezes": the spinning beachball appears, and it will not respond to any mouse clicks or key presses. Activity Monitor shows iTunes as "Not Responding".

I also had the same problem with iTunes hanging on me, and indeed, iTunes....
After I let it sit with iPhone connected and iTunes frozen for about twenty minutes, iTunes finally, or if other users have similar problems to discuss.

Wasn't it the update to explicitly block the Palm Pre from syncing
with iTunes? Apple? I could write a
program that could parse the iTunes Library XML file, show a simple
GUI, and copy.

При синхронизации с iTunes если убрать галочки синхронизации с фильмов и музыки, программа удаляет их из телефона. а если их на компе уже нет, то и не восстановить. как сделать чтобы не удалялись медиа-файлы из телефона? или что, всегда их хранить в айтюнсе...
