Is there any good IDE for PHP which is lite, accessible and has basic features like file management and code completion? The biggest bad thing about php development is that it's lack of a good IDE. Which IDE are you all using for PHP development?

I use the NetBeans PHP IDE , which is very complete and organized, and has the code completing Notepad++.
I've tried a ton of different IDE's for php.
Anymore, but if I had to, I'd use Eclipse PDT .

Most of the good PHP IDEs i find are not free, so does anyone know of a good, yet free PHP IDE???
As in an IDE with features like
auto completion debugging code formatting code highlighting database previewing etc

I use....
/MacVim is more fun to work with.
Believe me, i'm using it for php development and its the best suited ide i can find...
But for PHP development an editor like TextMate/Emacs.
Well, there is Eclipse if you want an IDE.

I am using Eclipse IDE with few plug-ins for PHP dev. I am using PHPEclipse plug-in and I know there are lotsa other plugins like EasyEclipse.But is there an IDE like Visual Studio with cool drag and drop stuff for PHP?

For PHP " from CodeGear / Emabarcadero which I hear mostly good things about - at least for new development that is as it's rather closely tied to a specific framework ( VCL for PHP , which is Open.

Eclipse PDT (eclipse.org) I've only used Eclipse and it's PHP Plugin for developing PHP apps.
The NetBeans PHP plugin is quite good, but there's no such thing as "the best" - a lot of things.

Documentation integration, SQL Integration, the works.

Then you could use any IDE and browser you want!
The PHP PDT has it for php development and its the best suited ide i can find...
That frame every few seconds too.

I've programmed for 6 years, and in that time, I've never used a PHP IDE. I feel perfectly fine using VIM, linux shell, mysql command line and subversion command line for my web application development. When I'm asked to work on other people's projects...

The fact I liked it is just is beyond any criticism (you cannot just double click php file to open it in Eclipse, for starters (obviously, since it underlines erroneous....
I have used netbeans in the past for php projects and liked it a lot.
