Have you ever met any of your idols?

Yes, I met my lifelong idol, Dutch musician Thijs van Leer from the band Focus, just over a year ago and he far exceeded my expectations and then some. He has been my musical God since 1971 - and lived up to it. source

Do you worship false idols?

You know, for all my years of Catholic upbringing and the last 10 of being immersed in a state full of Protestant evangelicals, I still have never really understood what constitutes a false idol. I've been told that the Catholic medallion I periodically wear is a false idol. My interpretation was that a false idol was anything that draws worship away from God. Which would include just about anything in modern life, like iPods or cars. source

Former U15 idols who now do hardcore?

Well, the post about Bunko Kanazawa is indeed very nice, but she was 17 at the time. I'm starting to think that there are no examples of girls who were former U15 idols and then went on to do hardcore after turning 18. source

How do you handle playing with your Idols?

I've only done it a few times, but to tell the truth I found it to be a bit of a let down in that the experience didn't meet the ideals I had set in my own mind. Especially when it's a case of local players backing up a "legend", only to be used as on stage whipping posts to somehow show how much better the legend is than the local player. I've put bands together to back up Bo Diddley a few times locally, and every time I thought that all my guys played with more heart than Bo, despite the disadvantage of not having a heads up of any kind going into it, and getting schooled on stage during the show. Maybe that comes from the old cutting tradition, I don't know. Another older known blues guy that I played with last year and was nervous about made so many mistakes and lost his place so many times that I was embarrased for him. And one or two more were either so drunk or self centered that I couldn't wait for the gig to be over. Maybe I've just had bad luck that way, but it's usually been a let down. source

Why Worship Idols?

I would like to know what benefit Hindus see in deity worship. Why pray to statues when you can pray directly to God Himself? source
