Exactly the same illness obviously but during my manic episodes there are a lot of my actions and words.
My daughter has only 2 weeks left this semester and she just had a psychotic break. We took her to the ER and had a Psychiatric Emergency service evaluation. She is 22 so it is hard to make her sign in against her will...as she was deemed not a danger...

But as someone who lost a family member during a psychotic break, you should think long and hard a psychotic break....
Paranoia, especially in 22 year olds.
Psychotic breaks are not common.
Experience with severe mental illness.

I beat off depression anorexia and agoraphobia in 4-5 years and was well and off drugs for 20 years .
Depressions turn in to a psychotic version.

Explain to him that he has a severe mental illness and he has become.
Definitely stay away from him.
