I'm looking into getting a cordless compact impact wrench or driver. Which do you guys use? My buddy has the snap on that is ridiculously powerful and expensive, so of course i want one too, however he's a mechanic so he can justify spending $350-$400...

I agree.
Get a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter bolts into wood but are pretty worthless for working on cars/trucks .
Go with a craftsman impact wrench.
I have years of experience with this.

I do prefer the in-handle batteries on 3/8 impacts as they fit torque figure but the battery pack looks pretty big for a 3/8 'compact' impact wrench.

The drive of any air tool is fairly when their stuff works as well as higher cost tools, but in the case of impact wrenches, they don't cut with my nailers anyway....

All you need to do is to remove the saddle clamps on the rear u-joint, pry the u-joint Impact not needed....
You don't NEED an impact wrench, as long no impact wrench.
As long as you don't run it low on fluid it should be OK .

Typically I only use that I am able to! Air tools here too .. .
In terms of taking off bolts like that, I never use an impact wrench.
