No tax owed to a horrendous tax bracket....
You want to come out flat or as close as you can get to flat .
If you are always to the government all year.
No refund of your own money.
No tax owed.
Flat or as close as you can get to flat .

My other theory as to this mess as tax paid already paid ....

The TN legislature is taking up an amendment to the state constitution that will prevent both income and payroll taxes from ever being instituted.
It should pass the house tomorrow.
More reason to love TN.

Ask your Facebook Friends
Does anyone know of any good accountants that can handle tax returns for income in the US and the UK
I am a US citizen who had some income in the US and some income (paid in pounds) in the UK. My time overseas was from 12/06 through 4/07.
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at linkedin):
Warren Did you pay UK tax? If so, you should discuss this with an accountant as you may....
See the private note.
I can recommend someone based in the NY area that help individuals with these sorts of issues.
You can claim a treaty exemption.

Something like that.
I owe $1400 federal, wife gets $1k refund, I owe $200 NJ, she gets $300 NJ refund, I get $50 NY refund.
Thanks, NJ, for your stupid other-state tax-crediting rules!).
