I've indexed when I perform a search....
I've also had ocassion to index a number of scanned
images as you're doing.
You'd would only need to type
subdirectories.
You can use the facial recognition in the latest
version of iphoto.

Been 1/4 of the price I would probably go for Aperture if I was starting again! I'm still using Iphoto create many more different views of you....
Tend to use iPhoto for making books and calendars.
Photoshop Elements for some editing tasks.

I got a Nikon S8000 about a year ago. I have never ever done any photo-editing, except rotating and cropping on Microsoft picture editor - which doesn't seem to have much else.
If the camera is set to record date etc. these appear red at the bottom within...

Different viewing programmes will display different ranges of metadata, so often there could;
delete private metadata that might be obtained....
Simple way to delete the metadata embedded with digital photos comes courtesy IrfanView photo.

Playing around with LR, I confess myself impressed with the lens corrections; less the profiled corrections and more with perspective correction and things like that. I know I could drop the image into PSElements and correct, but I really like keeping...
