Until today I have always been able to remove any infection by restarting my Xbox. I was infected twice yesterday and once this morning and those infections were gone the moment I restarted so I know the restart method can work. However about 20 minutes...

I keep reading about people who are "test infected", meaning that they don't just "get" TDD but also can't live without it. They've "had the makeover" as it were. The question is, how do I get like that?

Once you've gone through a cycle back to Code First.
Part of the point of being "test infected" is that you've used TDD enough and seen the successes enough that you don't want to code without it .

Since the infected pc's virus scanner might be compromised, it's probably safer to scan.
At avoiding scanners, it is possible that once you are infected, it can install rootkits or similar a full scan.
