Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but how difficult is it to see a psychiatrist without medical insurance or money? I live in Brooklyn obviously, if anyone can link me to some local resources that'd be great.

Don't you have to pay health insurance companies many thousands of dollars before they activate your insurance? Don't they give you this down payment back a few months later?
