Of the person who is riding it on their policy with cover to ride other bikes would be liable for the 3rd party riding under the 'ride any bike' insurance company that will pay out.

I am firm believer in insurance but not clear on the requirements for washington. Is motorcycle required in washington? I am a summertime rider and hate to pay a full year of insurance while only riding 4 or 5 months out of the year. What do you guys ...

As to derestricting and insurance, I would suspect that for insurance it would just count as tuning.
On a bike you are able to ride without an instructor so no great change.
Into a gibbering wreck to control the driver.

Do any of you have insurance for your bikes? Is it expensive? I've been seeing alot of stolen topics and maybe it would be good to get insurance but never done it.

Not only will your bike be covered but so.
If you rent, look into get renters insurance.
If homeowner you can usually be covered under your policy even if your bike is not at your home when stolen.

An umbrella policy (and if you own anything, you need one) you agree to keep a certain level of insurance(i'd say it's more the insurance company)...my friends that ride HD don't pay 800/yr.
