Hey peeps.
I am a beginner-verging-on-intermediate rails developer that is working hard to improve my skills.
I am a little confused about the state of JRuby, and whether it is a viable alternative to switch to from the MRI.
Currently I run a Mac at home...

Personally, I'd recommend treating JRuby as an advanced Ruby concept .
Beginner docs, and most of the devs who will normally be able to help you out are assuming MRI, so it's comparable to MRI 1.8.

Quite frequently when I save changes to a Ruby file in Netbeans and try to run the file, the interpreter simply doesn't do anything. The only way around it is to temporarily switch to the JRuby interpreter and then switch back to the default Ruby interpreter...

There are multiple Ruby implementations in the works right now. Which are you looking forward to and why? Do you actively use a non-MRI implementation in production?

Ruby MRI (original 1.8 branch) YARV (official 1.9) JRuby...

I don't know what the term BRADDU8 means on your MRI report.
All I can say is that since a biopsy is recommended, I would assume that your BI-RADS score is probably a 4,which means that the lesion is only suspicious, but it doesn't mean that cancer will...

Can a MRI scan reveal if you have back pain? I was wondering if a doctor can tell if you have severe back pain because I was told there is no way to tell. The reason is I want to get a medical marijuana card and I live in Oregon!
