Can a MRI scan reveal if you have back pain? I was wondering if a doctor can tell if you have severe back pain because I was told there is no way to tell. The reason is I want to get a medical marijuana card and I live in Oregon!

No...an MRI scan cannot....
It's one thing if you have cancer.
An MRI scan of your back might give some indication of WHY you are having in more pain, but I'm not using marikuana and never will.

I've ordered an Ultrasaound scan on my achilles through my GP but when I saw a physio a couple of weeks ago she said it wasn't usually worth it. The reasons given where that an ultrasound scan isn't detailed enough to really make an accurate diagnosis...

If it's to remove doubt, then go - AGAIN and some sore of tendonosis.
It will give you more information, and USS is first call rather than MRI.

Just had this scan at my gyno's office, newly approved by the FDA. It is a type of thermographic screening. Areas of increased vascularity, possibly indicative of future tumor growth, light up. I am wondering if anyone else has had this or a similar thermographic...

I did not get a coded risk rating.
I had a thermographic breast scan, pointed directly at the lump I was concerned about a report-- they just gave me a copy of the scan itself.
