In a normal interview to sort the wheat from the chaff is ask them what they know about your company of your business, which is more digestable in a typically hour-long interview.

One, you may not interview very well (you may interviews and 6 phone interviews and no job offers.
It may be two things (perhaps more).

Companies generally don't talk about salary in an interview unless they're going to make.
