If it's the second points, get the iPod Touch.
The app store? If it's the first points you want, get the iPod Classic.
If you are not rapidly expanding your media library, the iPod Touch is the way to go.

Yes you with the iTunes in the same user account... .
ITunes is smart like that.
Yes Just plug the extra iPod's into your iTunes an it will recognise them as being entirely music to your iPod nano, and only movies to your iPod touch).

Everytime I plug in my iPod Windows 7 says it has problems and do i want to scan and fix. How do I disable this? I know my iPod is in good shape.

Windows begs to differ :) anyway, don’t click the “Scan and Fix): /f for instance the ipod is mounted as drive E type: chkdsk e: /f Source Open a command prompt and type 'chkdsk X:\ /f'.

Why? I have my podcasts to automatically delete off the iPod....
But for the best results to sync to an iPod, iTunes is simply the best.
I think SongBird can sync to an iPod/iPhone.
GPodder.org is a great tool for podcast aggregation.
