Welcome Jordan , Here are my opinions:
1) Much less expensive to travel independently. There is no practical reason for a person such as the way you described yourself to take a tour.
2) It's fine. The one cavaet is that tourism is down throughout Egypt...

I changed my thinking of what to buy, I like the arsenal line specifically the SGL-21-94 folding stock 7.62x39 or do i go with the SGL-31-94 exact same rifle except it's in 5.45x39 other than the ammo is not as available as the 7.62x39 but thats no problem...
