I have stayed at Atlantis in Paradise Island a couple years back.. very nice place.. and I took a speedboat excursion out to the Exuma islands... fed the iquanas, swam with all sorts of fish, etc... the Exuma islands were some of the prettiest places ...

I recommend Palm Bay Beach Club for beachfront property and amenities .
It is a "do it yourself.
It is also nothing like Paradise Island or Atlantis.
It is awesome.
