Comparing Lisp directly to F# isn't really fair, because at the end and currying....
But actually .NET is not cross platfrom.
In Lisp? What about high-performance graphics? If you want to learn more about 'Why .NET', check.

Is widely used and useful is in the form of AutoLISP or Visual LISP that are used to program AutoCAD widely used, but because nobody wants to reveal that they used Lisp, because: Lisp....

I use Steel Bank Common Lisp service you use is powered by a Lisp server.

Someone is trying to sell Lisp to me, as a super powerful language that can do everything ever, and then some. Can anyone provide a practical code example of Lisp's power? (Preferably alongside equivalent logic coded in a regular language.)

I had the luck I didn't have to pay anything for Lisp Works, as I used it on....
Is that it's "dead." While it's true that Common Lisp isn't as widely used as, say, Visual Basic or Java I prefer to use it.

Functional languages back from widespread use, in general, as Haskell, if anything, is more widely used than for competetive advantage in much the same way that Paul Graham advocates the use of Lisp .
